William Levacy, PhD.
April 5, 1946 – February 23, 2018
William R. (Bill) Levacy held a B.A. in English, a Master’s in Education, a Master’s in the Science of
Creative Intelligence, and a Ph.D. in Education with a specialization in Training and Performance
Improvement. The Indian Council of Astrological Sciences (ICAS), awarded Bill the titles of Jyotish
Kovid, Jyotish Vachaspati, and Jyotish Medha Pragya. Bill had practiced Vedic astrology since 1983
and had thousands of clients around the world. Bill wrote numerous articles in The Astrological
Magazine and the new Modern Astrology Magazine, and the Astrological eMagazine. Bill is the
author of Beneath a Vedic Sky -A Beginner’s Guide to the Astrology of Ancient India, as well as
Beneath a Vedic Sun, and Vedic Astrology Simply Put. Bill made TV appearances, was a guest on
numerous radio shows, and conducted workshops on Vedic astrology around the US, Europe, and
Asia. Bill was the revered President of the American College of Vedic Astrology (ACVA)
www.acvaonline.org for almost a decade.
Dr. Bill will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his brilliance, creativity, and
dedication to teaching the profound knowledge of Jyotisha. His legacy will live on in the thousands of
people who have benefitted from his wise counsel. His wonderful books will continue to inspire and
enlighten lovers of Jyotish. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Peggy, and legions of loyal friends.

Jessica held a Masters Degree in Medieval History & Exceptional Education from the University of
Wisconsin. She also earned a Masters Degree in Hindu Studies: Vedic Astrology from Hindu
University. Jessica was a graduate of the ACVA Level I and Level II Certification program. For more
than 20 years she worked in the field of education. Over the past several years she worked with the
development team creating course material and certification exams for the American College of
Vedic Astrology (ACVA) Online program. She also taught in the ACVA Online program. When Jessica
passed she was the Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the American College of Vedic
Jessica was a serious scholar. She also devoted her time as a volunteer, training guide dogs for the
blind. She leaves behind her husband Martin, and their adult daughter Tamara. Jessica will always be
remembered, with love, by the many people whose lives were touched by her intelligence and
generosity. Rest in peace, dear Jessica.
