American College of Vedic Astrology (ACVA) is a U.S. nonprofit educational organization dedicated to making authentic Jyotisha (Vedic astrology) accessible to learners around the world. As part of that mission, ACVA offers an accreditation pathway for select Jyotisha schools and academies that share ACVA’s standards for classical tradition, educational quality, ethics, and assessment integrity.
What ACVA Accreditation Means
- Quality and alignment: The partner’s program is reviewed for alignment with ACVA standards and the classical Parāśara-centered approach.
- Ethics and integrity: Accredited partners commit to ethical student guidance and assessment integrity.
- Pathway to ACVA certification: Eligible students may apply to sit for ACVA certification exams (e.g., Jyotisha Ratna and Jyotisha Prabhakara). Certification is issued by ACVA only, based on assessment requirements.
Accreditation does not mean ACVA operates the partner organization. Each accredited partner remains an independent educational provider.
Who Should Apply
ACVA welcomes inquiries from established Jyotisha training programs that:
- Demonstrate a consistent, classical approach to Jyotisha and respect for the tradition (paramparā).
- Maintain clear learning outcomes, structured coursework, and responsible student support.
- Are willing to adopt appropriate exam/assessment security, quality assurance, and brand‑use guidelines.
How the Accreditation Process Works (High-Level)
- Initial inquiry and exploratory conversation
- Confidentiality safeguards as needed (NDA)
- Academic mapping: syllabus/outcomes/assessment model review
- Quality assurance model and governance alignment
- Agreement finalization and launch planning
- Ongoing review for renewal and continuous improvement

DharmaVedas Academy is an ACVA-accredited Jyotiṣa education partner in Türkiye, delivering Turkish-language training aligned with ACVA standards and ethical foundations. Eligible students may pursue an ACVA certification pathway through ACVA-governed assessments.
